The Ekano 2 AL is powered by the Shimano EP801 as standard – Shimano's current top model for E-MTBs:

- Motor Weight: 2.7 kg (magnesium housing)
- Wide Cadence Range: Harmonious, naturally feeling power delivery
- Low Noise: The newly developed EP801 contributes to an almost silent ride
A more affordable alternative is the Shimano EP600 – same power, 300 g heavier due to the aluminum housing instead of magnesium.
Both motors can be individually configured via the E-TUBE PROJECT App.
