What is the "Chain Protection" function?

During each gear shift, the system briefly reduces motor power to protect the chain and cassette. This is not a malfunction, but a protective feature in combination with electronic derailleurs such as SRAM Transmission.

The function can be disabled, but we do not recommend it. Without it, wear increases significantly, and resulting damages are considered usage-related.
