    This FAQ answers the most common questions regarding the frame, geometry, colors, suspension, drivetrain, seat post, brakes, and tires of the Spindrift 5 AL. It is aimed at our customers and serves as a quick reference – for individual installation and safety questions, we also recommend contacting a specialist workshop or our support team.

    Q: What frame sizes are available and what height corresponds to which size?

    A: The Spindrift 5 AL is available in four frame sizes. The ranges intentionally overlap: the smaller size offers a more playful ride, while the larger size provides a steadier experience. The exact allocation is shown in the following table:

    Q: What material is the frame made of?

    A: The frame of the Spindrift 5 AL is made from a blend-alloy construction (aluminum).

    Q: What wheel sizes is the bike compatible with?

    A: The Spindrift 5 AL can be configured with either 29 inches, in a mixed setup (MX, 29" front / 27.5" rear), or fully with 27.5 inches.

    Note: Unlike the Spindrift 5 CF, the AL frame does not have a flip-chip. The wheel size is not adjusted via geometry adjustment.

    Q: How much suspension travel does the Spindrift 5 AL have as standard?

    A: As standard, the bike features 180 mm of suspension travel both front and rear. The fork can accommodate a maximum of 200 mm of suspension travel (see section "Suspension").

    Q: How is the cable routing managed?

    A: Cables and lines are routed internally and along the side of the down tube.

    Q: What is the maximum system weight allowed?

    A: The maximum allowable total weight (rider, bike, and luggage combined) is 120 kg. The Spindrift 5 AL is classified in category 5.

    Q: What additional features does the frame offer?

    A: The frame features double-sealed stainless steel frame bearings, down tube and chainstay protection, as well as a bottle mount.

    Q: What dropout standard is used?

    A: The rear end is designed with 148 x 12 mm (Boost). A Sixpack UDH axle with SRAM UDH derailleur hanger (Universal Derailleur Hanger) is used.
