FAQ's about Test Rides

What is the difference between an Experience Ride and a Demo Ride?

You can easily book an Experience Ride here and reserve your test bike: Propain Bicycles Germany (bikerentalmanager.com)

If you only want a Demo Ride, you don’t need to book an Experience Ride; just come by our showroom during opening hours or, ideally, book a detailed consultation appointment (Consultation Showroom | PROPAIN Bicycles) to avoid waiting times.

How and when do I need to pay for the Experience Ride?

You can pay for the Experience Ride directly on-site in the showroom. We accept payments by card, including Visa, MasterCard, and other common credit and debit cards. Unfortunately, online payment in advance is not possible.

Do I need to leave a deposit?

As a deposit, we require an ID / passport. Please ensure that you can present a valid passport or identity card. This is for our security and ensures that transactions are conducted legally. Thank you for your understanding.

Will I receive a voucher if I do the Experience Ride?

Yes, at the end of your Experience Ride, you will receive a voucher for the test fee (120 €). You can redeem this when purchasing a bike both in our online shop and in the showroom. If you want to test multiple bikes, the vouchers can also be combined in one order.

Additionally, you can redeem the vouchers during a promotional sale.

What do I need to bring for the test ride?

For the test ride, you should bring your regular MTB gear (helmet and possibly also protectors). We can provide flat pedals for the test ride – just add them during the test ride booking so we can install them for you in advance. If you prefer to use your own flat / clip pedals, feel free to bring them along.

How does the pickup / handover of the bike work?

After you have reserved the bike online, you can pick it up at the selected time directly in the showroom in Vogt. Before you head out, we will adjust the suspension for you to ensure maximum enjoyment while riding.

Do I need to clean the bike after the Experience Ride?

Of course, we appreciate it if you clean off the major dirt after your test ride. However, the bike does not have to be returned clean. All bikes are checked and serviced by our service mechanics after each test ride, so the next test rider can have just as much fun with the bike as you did.

What happens if something breaks during the test ride?

After each test ride, the bikes are inspected by our mechanics. If significant damage occurs during the Experience Ride (e.g., defective wheels / gears / suspension, damaged frame…), we reserve the right to charge you for the costs.

Can you test multiple bikes at the same time?

Absolutely! You can simply reserve the desired bikes and pay for the various Experience Rides on-site.

Can I keep the bike for several days?

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer this. The bikes can only be tested for a maximum of one day.

What happens if I do not return the bike on time?

The bike must be returned during the booked period, within the opening hours of the showroom (Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM). If you are running late, please inform us immediately (showroom@propain-bikes.com).

If the bike is not returned on the same day, we will charge you for the costs (an additional 120€, if returned before 10:00 AM the following day, or an additional 240€, if returned after 10:00 AM the following day).
